How was your August 2022?

Recommended Posts

Okay I will start this one, pretty sure nothing more will come in this evening.  It was a lackluster month for me. Sales numbers were about average but lower than usual fees and none over $100.  I also had a $$$ refund for a sale from last month and $10.50 in Other Fees.  Had 23 sales with a gross of $493

Decent month for me.  9 licences, which is above average.  Median licence price of $11, however a nice $$$ licence price puts my average above Alamy stated average

need to hope it doesn't get refunded within nice 12 months.

This was one of the worst months I've had in over a year.  I had 11 sales for $206/82 - lower than any other site.  I'm hoping this is not the new normal as a result of the web interface or search engine tweeking.

Super bad: 7 sales, $17.31 net.

Must be my worst month for years.

This was my freaky-high (relatively) month for zooms/CTR I seem to have one a year, but in the past, it hasn't led to increased sales, so not holding my breath.

Pretty happy with this month, above average for me. Finally hit 20 sales. Fees middling, £313 gross. CTR pretty meh too at 0.56, but I'll take 31 zooms. Pleased that my overall numbers continue to climb, despite the increase in photos online overall.

8 for $215. But I didn’t get a payout this month, and expect that will become the case more often. I almost always get a payout. Rare I don’t.

It was a good month for licenses, this year has gone well "knock on my wooden head."  16 licenses with my average holding at a bit over $40.00 per lic.

I would like to see Alamy up the fees for usage of specific "RARE or Newsworthy Images."  I keep writing that in the hope that someone is listening or reading.

Have already well exceeded the number of licenses in any year during the last almost 20.

The first half of August was totally dead, but it turned into a surprisingly good month with 14 sales for $742 gross.

There were four $$$ licenses in the mix, which was very encouraging. 🙂

Recent pattern continues with a fair number of sales but rock bottom fees. 21 for $197 gross $79 net, or an average of $3.8 net per lease.

Elsewhere a single POD sale brought in a net $20.

13 sales bring me back close to average volume for first time in 3 months!

3 just into $$$, highest being an infringement

1 barely into $$

9 in $, 5 of these where I recieve <$.

Too many at rates where I would refuse to licence given the choice as the fees are just insulting

So for Gross $459 I get $183.... So not just too many low fees but also completely ripped off by the unfair commission split!
