  2. I also had a sale of a school image, but probably no connection as it was for a presentation/newsletter for low $$. This is Charterhouse School, which I was definitely not rich enough to attend!
  3. Haha. Sadly I think the dolphins might be a victim of our plastic waste, including all those single-use face masks so many people are using, but some of the insect world might outlive us! Ants definitely do a better job of working together for the benefit of all.
  4. This graffiti appeared on a road bridge near me recently. I guess it sums up what we're all wondering.
  5. Just under 20% of mine are repeat sellers, but maybe that's because I've only been doing this for about 5 years.
  6. Spotted this grass snake basking on autumn leaves last week.

Anna Stowe Landscapes, Image ID: BRHYB4 P25, June 4th, 2020. Aftermath of a large wildfire at Thursley Common National Nature Reserve in Surrey, UK. The fire, which started on May 30th, 2020, has devastated about 150 hectares of heathland, an important habitat for many wildlife species, such as rare reptiles and heathland birds. The boardwalk through the wetter areas of the reserve has also been badly damaged. The cause is not established, but could have been due to careless disposal of a cigarette or using a disposable barbecue during a long hot dry spell of weather. 11. My sales were pretty good by my standards in the first half of the month, then just ground to a halt - I've had nothing for 10 days now. Hopefully there'll be a late surge this week.
  12. I wonder if the delay this week has been due to office workers being told by the government to work from home again - coronavirus cases are going up fast again in the UK, so the rules changed on Monday. It might just be taking a while to adjust to home working.
  13. You're welcome, Russell. Well done for climbing that steep zigzag path to get that photo! Countryfile seem to report very promptly - usually before I get the magazine.
  14. I've also noticed that it has been taking longer than usual for the database to update and for new images to go on sale. This seems to have been happening for the last 10 days or so.

  16. They certainly sell. My best 2 sales this month are macro shots of insects. Having said that, there is a lot of competition with some subjects, such as butterflies and bees, so it can be hard to stand out. Of course there are a lot of insect species, so it's worth trying to find and photograph the rarer species, and life stages, etc. As with photography of people, it can help if the bugs are doing something!
  17. Interesting that they do work in some cases! Doesn't Hector scare other garden birds away too?
  18. I think it's been over 48 hours, but it seems to be starting to update now - I can see a few of my photos captioned 2 days ago coming through.
  19. Had a welcome flurry of 6 sales today - 3 for presentation/newsletter (UK), and 3 distributor sales to Germany, so no big money unfortunately. This was the best priced licence - mid/high $$ for a German magazine, but I only get 30%: This was one of the presentation/newsletter licences at very low $$ (the rose garden at Loseley Park):
