January 2022 Challenge "On a Walk"

Recommended Posts

I was up and out early this morning, taking my son to his job and I saw lots of people walking (mostly with dogs) and this challenge idea came to me.  I want to see your photos of people out walking (anytime of year).  It can be for any reason for walking....like a hike, a stroll, dog walking, commuting etc..  Also I am happy to see empty pathways and walkways that are graphically interesting.  Here are my examples, can't wait to see yours!  Please submit up to three of your photos that are already in the Alamy collection

I need to add that people don't need to be on a path or walkway, it could be on a beach or anywhere, as long as walking is involved or implied.

Great topic, Michael. I try to go for a walk every day, rain or shine, with or without camera. Here are my three.

A Dutchman told me that they've long given up on expecting anyone else to learn to pronounce their language so that it sounds anything like Dutch.

After years of visiting Flanders we still know barely a dozen words but we did have the word for "please" written down for us by a barman in Gent. (Geen "h", alstublieft).

This is the bar

and that was the hat. Stolen by Germans in 2011.

Sorry to digress. Not an entry to the challenge, we probably cycled back.

Yeah, Mama -- quack him up and get him moving.

So many ducks and geese start out with a chick brood of 8-10. Then later, you see them with a brood of 1-3. Mortality is high from predators. 😟
