Since there are no pain receptors in the brain, the only pain one might feel is within the scalp and they numb the area before drilling a tiny hole. They keep the patient awake and alert to get feedback to see what they are doing is actually working. In this case, the woman had severe tremors (not Parkinson's disease) and they were able to turn it off using these hair thin electrodes attached to a battery pack that is then implanted under the patient's skin , near her collarbone. It was the most amazing thing I have ever watched! Edited December 3, 2021 by Michael Ventura 1

We had a night in Grafton in November of last year, it was gorgeous.. Although can be hard getting "clean" photos with a lot of people doing the same, and most not being thoughtful and moving out of the way for others to have a turn. This is one of my favourites, another couple who kept getting in my way at every spot, and not moving off the road when finished, but it turned out well in the end and I was happy they were both wearing red shorts. 2
