My second one this month. I was pleased to see it move given how unreasonably excited I was when a gust of wind unfurled the flag and I was just able to snap the shot I envisioned when I saw these two. It was taken at an anti-pipeline protest outside the Ontario Legislative Building during the "Shut Down Canada" movement earlier this year. Images sold in July 2020

This was a fun image to shoot. I had actually intended on giving the bottlebrush flower to a Little Red Flying Fox diva named Angelita, but as soon as Xena saw it she was like "that's mine" and just snatched it out of my hand 😂 -
They try to stop me too. I recently started working as a photojournalist for a paper and this question has come up often. You are well within your right to document what is happening at a newsworthy event. I always find it odd that fellow protesters are ENCOURAGED to film and take pics but anyone marked as media is bad. Just move on and keep doing what you're doing.

I stopped visiting my local park due to the crowding being too bad for birds on top of the obvious health concerns, but am finding work shooting protests/editorials for a paper if that counts. I shot that stuff anyway, but it's a far higher proportion now since at least outings for genuine work are justifiable vs just going out to see what I get.

I just shot Alamy an email about this. Nothing has cleared in months. I get that times are tough but that should not mean we don't get paid when our content is used. -
slow cleared payments

Unless I am misunderstanding the situation, what I'm wondering is whether or not the buyers who suddenly claim they can't pay up because of COVID-19 are being allowed to continue to license images. Also, what repercussions will be for not paying. OUR photos have already been used and seen... -
Perhaps the same, but it's almost exclusively editorial now because I have been picking up weekly freelance gigs photographing protests, and before that I was asked to film some some community spirit stories. Even if it wasn't frowned upon, my local parks are too crowded to go looking for my usual birdies and things.

Lots of sales coming in but nothing has cleared in at least a couple months...probably longer on a few (I need to start tracking this better). Extremely frustrating. -
The redpoll and presumably the boreal chickadee actually sold in August (I saw the redpoll when several people on Facebook shared an Audubon article about a new conservation initiative in the Northwest Territories), but the sales only showed up now. If I may share, I was SUPER happy to see both the redpoll and boreal chickadee sold, because the pics were taken on a "bucket list" trip to Yellowknife that was partly to honour my father, who often spoke of his time living up north. And both those birds were "lifers" for me! Not bad considering it was around -50C with windchill and my gear kept
