A shame corporate doesn’t kick in their share so he could get the whole $10.

just did same;

off-topic: tried thrice to use credit card;

Alamy system wouldn't process;

card is valid & regularly used...

had to use Paypal;

if this is common occurrence I can

envision many potential customers

giving up, going elsewhere...

I generally use PayPal, so can't tell you what might have happened with the card ....

Very sorry to hear this sad news. I never met John except on this forum, but he struck me as being a spiritual person, which often has little or nothing to do with having traditional religious beliefs. Happy to know that John passed away peacefully and without pain.

Absolutely. I loved his incisive wit. And a very deep thinker, evident from his blog. That's how I will remember him.

Very very sad. I always admired his wit and loved his sense of humour. His 5 year stint in his motorhome intrigued me. Doing some deep thinking perhaps? RIP John.

It does make you stop and think.  All these people you meet on forums and then one day you notice they aren't there anymore.  I know one day that will be me.  Mortality. It sucks.

My kindest wishes to his family and friends.  May they always have memories that keep him alive forever.

I think John lived life his way & enjoyed every moment of it. That’s all anyone can hope for & do. Make the best of your life, pursue the things that bring you joy. Frank Sinatra’s song, “My Way” might could be John’s theme song. I love it that he enjoyed listening to the birdsong right up to the end.

Sad that John has left us but pleased it was peaceful and no pain.

Commiserations to his family and close friends.
