Can't get much more personal than this as I am the boy with the foot extended getting nowhere near to the ball! I have a copy of this and other original printed photos given to my parents after the photo shoot by UK Sunday paper photojournalists. The footballer was Ian "Chico" Hamilton who made the headlines after being the youngest player to score a goal on his debut for Chelsea FC. He happened to live a few doors away at the time and the press knocked on a few doors looking for children to photograph with him on the green at the end of the street which had a large sign, "No ba

Spanish bureaucracy hasn't improved!! You wisely stayed in the warm south Ed. First real frost I have seen in nearly 14 years on the coast though. Good riddance Filomena.

Think this sums up a cold morning here in Spain during lockdown. You can just make out a hint of frost on the head and nose which we never get normally on the north coast and the barrier tape around this rubbish bin disguised as a bear extends around the closed children's playground.

All appears to be up to date including images keyworded yesterday. Alamy appear to have resolved whatever the problem was. Thank you Alamy and best wishes to all for the festive season. -

The images are still slow to appear for sale taking two days recently for me. Answering your question to Pekka! If Pekka has a better experience then it would be nice to know. Update, third day now without images available for sale🤨 -
Is AIM broken....AGAIN?
Tony ALS replied to Phil Robinson's topic in Alamy Quality Control and technical talk
Hi Gina. Uploaded images today which have all passed QC and are ready for sale. From what I'm seeing we're back to normal. Just checked the clear selection button and it worked. -

Images passed QC and I have put some on sale. 10 more images to upload so hoping all works ok now but confirmation from Alamy that all has been fixed now would be helpful with those on this forum (and no doubt those who are not) still uncertain if normal has returned looking at recent messages 🤨 Fingers crossed! Images uploaded instantly and straight into QC (3 stars so normal for me). Looks as if it worked as it should this time. -

Thanks for the update Elisabeth. Very much appreciated by all I'm sure. Still holding off uploading more images until this settles down. It would be good to know when normal service has returned. -

Images uploaded last night as well which are now missing. Should I upload them again or wait in case they appear? Some guidance from Alamy would be good here please. -

Alamy measures, your images - not working
Tony ALS replied to Liam Bunce's question in Community support: ask the forum
Me too🤷♂️ I guess it's a general issue. Seems the recent tech work has some ongoing problems. -

How do I see my actual earnings?
Tony ALS replied to Hanna_Fate's question in Community support: ask the forum
As a relative newbie I have to agree with Hanna_Fate. The way the figures are presented is a mess. It wouldn't be difficult to change the layout to make it all simpler. And as for the time it takes for payments to clear... Perhaps it's covid but I'm surprised at the length of time it takes. -
The number of images has reappeared👍

Also found that an image that was on the first page had mysteriously become the last image on the last page. Do images get moved around automatically sometimes? I thought the editable portfolio page was for the contributor to amend only. I'm not talking about the blue numbers on the left by the way.

Identical to what happened to me yesterday. I changed my password for the forum and all ok since. The gremlins are present though as when I use the link to my web page it shows 0 images although they are all there! file:///Users/tonystill/Desktop/Screenshot%202020-11-17%20at%2011.03.54.png

Tony ALS replied to Steve F's topic in Stock photography discussion and contributor experience
I guess it's both art and marketing. I have seen debates around how images should be marked and even more so on SS where the rules are restrictive for copyright and other reasons which I fully understand. As this isn't an appropriate thread for this I'll leave it there but at the end of the day any product wrapper will have an artist or designers input. Where lines are drawn is difficult IMHO. -

He said the songs were his favourites of the time. I agree this album gets overlooked but I guess it wasn't commercial enough. The luminous lettering on the reverse of the album cover I have found difficult to photograph as it seems to confuse the sensors on my admittedly basic Canon EOS100D. Tried a couple of times but never seem to have enough time to get it right🤷♂️
