Well what a fantastic array of images for this month's challenge, thanks to everyone for entering!  I really struggled to get to just 8 pics, the entries were really strong.  In any other competition, some of the excluded photos would win, such was the quality of your pictures.  Anyway, here's the 8 - you've until 21.00 on the 7th April UK time to get your vote in.  Good luck!

Congratulations on getting your picks down to 8, Andy. And thank you for making me one. Another 8 or 18 were likely for the short list—with this formidable competition.

Great selection even though I am not in it.

The image I thought would be in the final eight is not there. (NO not one of mine).

Thanks Andy for running the competition.  As usual a great selection of finalists.  That atmospheric one of Edo's looks like an old oil painting.

It was such a difficult competition to judge - I had 14 on my very short list and would have included them all if I was allowed.  It just shows, photography is all about people's opinion and that differs so much.

A real nice selection Andy! I could have picked any one as the winner but had to go with the photo that really stopped me and take a longer look. Well done!

Beginners inquiring about selling on Alamy in other thread should look here as this is what they are measuring against.

Amazing quality throughout, not just selected 8, & very happy I made the final cut

And as we approach the finish line - Opal Miner is gaining on Foundry Workers with Violin Funambulist not far behind.🤭

I think CaravaggiEdo has this one sewn up.

I have to ask. Is that opal miner only 40 years old and a product of the harsh sun? I assume he became petrified after quitting the mines.
