Is it making a difference ?

I've absolutely no idea !

Deleted, or are up for deletion, about 200 or so images I think (but have deleted many more over time prior to re-doing it all).

Think it's good to be honest with oneself and get rid of stuff that is just a duplicate of other work that's out there (and better), and mine was a just bit pants.

No point in having views if the images are not up to scratch, and customers don't select them.

I had many irrelevant keywords from my earlier Alamy days.

Like a Christmas cake over time, my keywording skills have improved over time!

I'm hoping that just marking the 10 supertags makes a bit of difference, and puts images a bit higher up the search order.

Sales doing okay this year, on 105 at mo.

Phil

With only 600 images I sure will not see sales in a near future. I better start shooting and uploading.

I have benefited from looking at the ‘images sold’ threads on this forum. It’s not just about the numbers.

I normally get a few but just one calendar sale so far today, for an image taken in 2015. Hastings fishing boat and anchor among the sheds.

Interesting, mine are both of the same Victorian coastal fortification. Maybe a coastal theme there. Not Forest though. Must be a different calendar.

Today is acting like a last day of the month, with three sales so far spaced out across the day. Hopefully that will continue.

Just passed my 2017 $$ total, so that's a positive result for me, though I've added >25% to my port in the past 12 months. Still, hopefully they'll bear fruit in the future.

First time I've ever had an average CTR higher than alamy! I suppose that's a good thing

About a week ago, when I looked at Alamy Measures (Your Images) of the previous day,

it showed that one keyword search resulted in 4 images displayed and one was zoomed.

In itself, it is nothing extraordinary about it.

However those 4 images were all mine. Yes! Out of 155 million images! It made me smile and happy for the morning.

The icing on the cake was, a few days later, the image was reported sold for $60 (not distribution).

I was chuffed.  :)

I've just had a second sale reported this evening. Not a huge amount, but it reminds me why I do this, after the slap in the face today from Alamy.

A couple of sales yesterday took me to a new high regarding annual sales quantity. This exceeded last years 'record'. Income is another subject!!

Two $100 + sales dropped in yesterday.  Good news in the midst of the gut punch news from Alamy yesterday.
