How was your May 2022?

Recommended Posts

18 again, still trying to crack 20+ sales a month. Slightly better gross than April at $180 but nothing to brag about. Continuing to upload, almost at 4000 images after 7 years... Crikey, still a small portfolio #facepalm!

Me too! Trying to get at least 20 sales each month and failing. I'm not doing very well after all this time, am I?

Better than usual. 15 items totalling $224.97 gross. Some of my old ones taken in the 1980's helped. That motivated me to dig out some negs from a 1974 LGBT demo, which I took on a Zeiss Super Ikonta, and upload them. The images of those are not that great but they are rare.

Ppfffhhh, I'd kill for your gross. You have many beautiful unique shots. Basingstoke shots don't sell so well... 😛

Just when I thought it's all done for May, a small sale dropped in. So 14 sales for total $593, including one $$$. Not great, but better than last two months add together. CTR is 1.05, five months in a row over 1.00. But they do not translate to sales.

What sells for Oz are beaches and people. I'm not into either. Good I've never been in it for the $$$.

Not a bad month.  20 sales for $884/312.

Better than AS ($170) and even SS had two $37 sales today adding up to $167 for the month.

My first 6 sales gave me just $3.10 net. It picked up with a few better sales and a $75 infringement payment. (despite being non exclusive)(I have no idea) So a total of 13 sales for (calculating right down to pounds) Approx £119net

A very good month with 39 for $932 gross/$373 net.

That included 4 $$$, including my best sale of the year for $181 today.

Well done VBfolly - but how awful is 40% when you look at and think of the time effort etc put in to simply get our photos uploaded!!

possibly used with Alamy's watermark (i had one), or they have the record of the download....

Quite possibly. I had no contact just an unexpected "other income".

12 sales, one of which was a photo of meds which was refunded.

Another licence of the same pic hasn't been refunded (yet?).

Gross: $129;  net $50.

Average gross $11.72 so still grossly underperfoming vis a vis Alamy's stated $30.

Zooms and views down in last week or two.

I would have thought so too Gen- but my beach shots are probably my weakest area for sales - or perhaps mine just arent seen as good enough. Im actively trying to stop taking beach images as I have realised they dont generate hardly any income
