A bit of a throwaway image, so I'll bite my tongue at the value. The translation of the caption made me smile through the tears.

Unloved in the Alamy collection for the last 4 years, now two sales of the same image in a matter of days...

Licenced last week, for use in an educational book (Worldwide),

Licenced again this week, used in an Australian magazine.

It's fishy, but I don't think it seems fishy !

It sounds ironic to me that I should sell to Brazil an image of a fig tree taken in Australia. They have plenty of those in all those rainforests in Brazil!

More archive- I keep picking over these and this one only went up this year. A Varsity, no longer flying.
PU. Former aircrew, maybe?

When time travel is invented I'll go back there with my DSLR. I was using a Kodak Instamatic at the time and in later years Praktica's lowest priced SLR using budget print film. I sometimes wonder whether it would be of value to try to scan in a few of those 35mm negatives but these would be from an era when quality slide-using photographers were quite large in number so the competition would be great. My first published image was from being involved in the scrapping of the aircraft of the Wales Aircraft Museum at Cardiff, which had a Varsity in the collection. The image of a Viscount being cut up was published in B&W in FlyPast during their toilet paper period!

There are a few aero specialists about, so I understand ;)

Being very strict with myself about the archive definition, I've only uploaded a very few that are no longer flying. Sadly some have crashed. So I'd say check the serials and be very choosy. You never know.  No point with the BBMF or XH558, there are shedloads of those, but there are no images of WJ945 on Alamy and not likely to be, because it's being restored, and will probably not wear that livery again anyway. I considered uploading it a long shot and am pretty surprised to see it license so soon.

"Toilet paper"? Was it not too high quality newsprint then?
