Canada geese crossing a frozen lake using a nikon D2X taken a few years ago. Now using a D5 in which the quality of the images are light years ahead the images from the D2X are still selling well.

Colblomp, that is a marine invertebrate called a holothurian, also called a sea cucumber. They get collected, dried and eaten. When they feel threatened, they extrude Cuvierian tubules from their anus as a form of defence. The threads are very sticky, so tend to deter a predator as does the change of posture (cucumbers generally lie flat on the sand surface, although some species bury). When the cucumber feels out of danger, they suck the tubules back inside. They eat by hoovering sand, but sometimes get attacked by fish etc, especially if they get close to a nest, or some eggs for example.

I'm about to post another sale - a flashing scallop, also called a disco clam. These guys flash a blue light around the edge of their mantle to attract prey. So many great things to see underwater!

It was a direct sale for less than what it costs for a cup of coffee thus I presume it was purchased under the guise of PU.  I cannot, however, understand how it is to be used for website/social media/commercial and not fall under the "website" pricing.  Furthermore, who would want, for personal use, a photo of a Convention Center in Cleveland Ohio.  It can be assumed a convention/business/group that has been, or is going, to have a conference/convention there purchased the photo.  It was the second direct PU for that pricing to come through in the same day with the other photo being of a nightclub known for its live music. It is what it is eh.

If it had been personal use, it would say personal use. The low price is due to a negotiated discount.

Thank you for the clarification.  Interestingly two came through at the same negotiated price on the same day totalling enough for a cup of coffee.

Museum display New York. Most probably the Pierpont Morgan, because they have a Tintoretto show. At first I thought it was the MET LOL.

But the dates are slightly off: The image will appear as a banner which displayed in the temporary exhibition for a museum located in New York. The banner will be on display for three months starting October 12, 2018 through January 6, 2019.

- It's Tintoretto's 500th birthday this year.  (Remember to check your Wikipedia once in a while.)

And before you ask: my half of around XXX Starbucks coffees.

It’s been a rather slow month but with a small sale yesterday for a repeat image and a bigger one today, things are looking up. German magazine use for my first Easter Island photo sold.

Quick question: is there a separate payment for editorial use of an image in a tweet that links to an article or is that generally covered by the license?
