(Rate Topic: I like to rate my favorite topics, but have long suspected that option is easily overlooked, so am happy to see this Bridge Challenge has already received several votes, and they average 5-stars.)

Thanks Bryan - sadly we only had a day in Florence and it chucked it down the whole day  :( . Was pleased with this one however

Pont de Arts in Paris. It was a gorgeous morning with the Seine reflecting all the surrounding buildings.

Just a view across the bridge and not too many people about either...for a change!

I'll have to go out and shoot some bridges, only have an old railway trestle bridge in my portfolio, and a very stock type image. Of course if I am in the sin bin from my fog shots, then I'll have to upload from my computer  :)

Don't think I can come up with what some of you guys have, not many dramatic bridges out here in the country.

Stand a young girl in an angel costume on one of them. Simples!

Didn't Apple invent "drag & drop", thereby making the Mac ideal for graphics? ;)

If all 20 are mine, Alessandro . . . oh wait -- I didn't submit any.  :)

Next time I'll try to be more selective with a theme like "Bridges over Tiber River" or "Bridges over Thames River"  :)

Could be too restrictive. I live in England and still do not have any images of bridges over the Thames, never mind the the Tiber. :)

Allan

PS: I know you where only joking. B)   Good competition and very nice images being submitted in quantity.

Tough subject for me as I usually try to avoid having the bridges in the frame. :-)

I did manage to find a couple of "bridge images" though (even though the second one is only half a bridge)...

Hah! A guitar bridge after all Phil.

Well my Strandherd Armstrong Bridge south of Ottawa over the Rideau River came online today, so I'll pick two of these to finish me off:

Arched steel girders at dusk of the new Strandherd Armstrong Bridge over the Rideau River Ottawa:
