January Challenge 'Sunset'

Hi All

Here in Quebec we are in the full grip if winter. We've had blizzards, deep cold and today we have freezing rain. Never has May seemed so far away. In the UK it has been a never ending sequence of rain, wind and floods. What we need then is a splash of colour (well, what we really need of course is a holiday down under where its summer) so with that in mind this month's theme is sunset. Lovely glorious technicolour evening light. Everyone loves a sunset, everyone has a sunset shot somewhere so send 'em in. A maximum of three per person, contest open until the last day of January when I will pick the eight finalists. Here are three from me to get the warm colours flowing

Must have been asked a million times !! but how do U upload to this thread ????

Simplest way is to find the image you want to add in a new window - the full size one, not the thumbnail - and simply drag and drop it in the text box here - voilá

Or with a non Mac, you can right click on your expanded image, not a small thumbnail, and click on "save image URL" and then paste it that link in the little image icon window that pops up when you click on it. Macs are much easier

Hard to resist for a UK-based library . . . from an Australian contributor . . . (for non-UK residents, wonder not, it's vaguely related to the best result in the most important sporting event in the world nothing really important) . . . :-)

dd has been warned before about his propensity to gloat, and this further ill-mannered venturing off-topic in order to mock the afflicted should not be tolerated by all right thinking members of this Forum.

Besides his picture is hardly a 'vibrant' sunset and as such he should be banned from your competition and forced to watch looped recordings of the England Lacrosse (sorry Cricket) squad at nets.......

Colin, if you are on a Mac it is even simpler - just open the image in Alamy and drag the larger image directly into the topic window

Completely the same on a windows machine.

Has been like that since ages.
