That's not camping. I'd rather stay home. Spain, and Europe in general, is smaller. We have other compensations. This is a view from a campsite on the Mosel. This is just up that hill. That's our campsite down there on the river by the "a". The best white wine in the world is next door. Edited June 15 by spacecadet
gvallee
19 hours ago, wiskerke said: Yes I have long been tempted to get one. Smaller though, so I could blend in and go places that are verboten for normal campervans. However lots of people think the same and it's a bit like an arms race and counter measures are on the advance. (Small converted delivery vans like the VW and Mercedes V class are usually 1.99m high including the pop-up roof.) Due to corona/covid prices have soared and campsites both legal and illegal have been overcrowded everywhere. This is a good one. So you can imagine what the bad ones look like. Previously those height limiting bars were there to keep gypsies out, now to keep wandering boomers out. wim I'd love to continue the conversation on camping but I do not want to hijack the Images sold thread. For some reason, I was unable to open your link to Google map, it says 'unsupported link'. Never saw that before. Anyway, thanks.
Roy Waller
Both these pics were taken on the Farne Islands. The public have not been allowed to land there since July '22, because of the rampant bird flu. It's terrible to see dead birds floating in the water and washed up onshore. The puffin pic was taken in the second half of June '22. I must have been on one of the last boats to be allowed to land.
