Rather depressingly, 4 of my last 5 licences have been views of burnt heathland - these biodiverse sites should be covered with beautiful pink heather at this time of year ☹️. On a happier note, we (a group of wildlife conservationists and volunteers) have managed to rescue quite a few reptiles from this heath over the last week or so and will continue trying. Pictures seems getting worthless these days.
