  1. I just had my second best year in the number of sales, 72, just one short of my record from 2012. Money-wise, not so much, but I had hoped to pass $50.000 in gross sales this year but I am $18 short. On the other hand, my average gross sale price on Alamy is just over $71. Not bad, but that is thanks to the early years when prices where high. So, Happy New Year everybody! I hope next year will be better in every wat!
  2. No, not the distributor in Brazil, but I lost some there too.
  3. I just had this refund pop up: B5RKY9 _70D0690 Rolf Adlercreutz (29 July 2020) Rights Managed Sale refunded - Original sale date (18 October 2016) $ -21.52 Almost 4 years ago! Must be a new record! Rolf
  4. I’m already having a better year than any year since 2014, mainly thanks to two nice $$$ sales. Had a surge the other day as well! 8 sales on the same subject for a book, but it brought me less than 40 usd total. so, ups and downs, as always. Rolf
  5. Only 2 sales but one for $650 and the other for $65 so I'm happy. The big one was a renewal of an exclusive licence. The original was for $950, that is my best sale since I joined in 2003.
  6. Could by about norwegian Petter Stordalen who owns the Clarion chain. Big name in the Nordic countries, Multi Millionaire, recent divorce and so on.
  7. Thank you! I'd just looked at my stats since I joined Alamy in 2003 and I still got an average sale price of just over $73 gross. Pretty happy with that. I don't do PU, most distributors or other low-paying stuff.
  8. 14 sales for $1.311 gross and that for me is a very good month. One of the best ever. Quite a few sales for television at god fees.
  9. I can't be bothered and I'm not in distribution in any big way!
  10. My personal feeling is that I hate PU! And I'm not in the NU or UK Newspaper deal or with most of the distributors. Rolf
  11. I have a client who needs to have around 12000 slides scanned. Not high-end drumscanned but still. Any tips on where to go would be great. Rolf
  12. My thinking as well. I don't understand why anyone is still in PU or NU. Opt out! I'm not in distribution either, by the way. I think it is self-fulfilling to have the lowest option in the price-list pre-selected and it ought to be changed.

  14. Thank you! I'm used to the visa-business. In the late 60s I had to go to the Home Office "Aliens" office in Holborn and sit on a bench and get my visa renewed. It is really sad if we have to go down that road again. Rolf
  15. I might be able to pop over. I have not been to Cambridge for 50 years, so it is about time. I will confirm when I have booked my tickets. Rolf
  16. Over here in Sweden agencies, up till at least the 90s, charged 100% extra for aerial and underwater pictures. Those were the days!

  18. 29 November 2018 Affiliate Commission BW0CAX 23% I have opted out of what thought was everything except Alamy direct sales. Now this sale shows up, taking a 23% cut. Anybody know what this is? Rolf
  19. That is exactly why I have opted out of PU. I have some rather special pictures of David Bowie on Alamy and I sell these as Fine Art prints for decent money. So no way I want my hi rez files released into the wild! Rolf
  20. I had a $ 950.00 sale just last month. A book cover and it had to be exclusive-
