  1. Could by about norwegian Petter Stordalen who owns the Clarion chain. Big name in the Nordic countries, Multi Millionaire, recent divorce and so on.
  2. Thank you! I'd just looked at my stats since I joined Alamy in 2003 and I still got an average sale price of just over $73 gross. Pretty happy with that. I don't do PU, most distributors or other low-paying stuff.
  3. 14 sales for $1.311 gross and that for me is a very good month. One of the best ever. Quite a few sales for television at god fees.
  4. I can't be bothered and I'm not in distribution in any big way!
  5. My personal feeling is that I hate PU! And I'm not in the NU or UK Newspaper deal or with most of the distributors. Rolf
  6. I have a client who needs to have around 12000 slides scanned. Not high-end drumscanned but still. Any tips on where to go would be great. Rolf
  7. My thinking as well. I don't understand why anyone is still in PU or NU. Opt out! I'm not in distribution either, by the way. I think it is self-fulfilling to have the lowest option in the price-list pre-selected and it ought to be changed.

  9. Thank you! I'm used to the visa-business. In the late 60s I had to go to the Home Office "Aliens" office in Holborn and sit on a bench and get my visa renewed. It is really sad if we have to go down that road again. Rolf
  10. I might be able to pop over. I have not been to Cambridge for 50 years, so it is about time. I will confirm when I have booked my tickets. Rolf
  11. Over here in Sweden agencies, up till at least the 90s, charged 100% extra for aerial and underwater pictures. Those were the days!
  12. Ian Paisley, Belfast 1969 Country: United KingdomUsage: EditorialMedia: Museum display (single use)Print run: Single use onlyImage Size: Any size $$
  13. 29 November 2018 Affiliate Commission BW0CAX 23% I have opted out of what thought was everything except Alamy direct sales. Now this sale shows up, taking a 23% cut. Anybody know what this is? Rolf
  14. That is exactly why I have opted out of PU. I have some rather special pictures of David Bowie on Alamy and I sell these as Fine Art prints for decent money. So no way I want my hi rez files released into the wild! Rolf
  15. I had a $ 950.00 sale just last month. A book cover and it had to be exclusive-
  16. It is a nice picture but not recent ;-) Add 20 years. I have looked at IMDB and it seams you are correct, it is The Man Who Haunted Himself. Thank you!
  17. I'm confused now. At the same time as I took this picture he was on the set as Simon Templar in his Volvo P1800. You mean he was doing two things at the same time? Or did I miss something? I was told that they were shooting one of the last episodes of the Saint, but I could be wrong. The date was October 31st 1969.
  18. Ah, didn't know about Lord Lucan but read up on him now. I had left London and gone home to Sweden when that happened. So it is RM dressed up as The Saint!
  19.
