Betty LaRue
Such an honor to win the challenge and get to pick the new one for February. This one might be a bit harder than Michael's, but here goes. Old person or people doing something. Chores, exercise, cooking, taking care of something or someone, eating, drinking...the possibilities are endless. Have fun and I look forward to your submissions. They must be for sale on Alamy, 3 submissions (or less) You have until the end of February. As I mentioned, no portraits. Here are a few of mine. Old man waiting for the bus Old man petting his parrot Old man giving instructions to people on a charter boat. Yep, rain. Older man trying not to let the old man in Edited February 8 by Betty LaRue 1
Bryan
Congratulations on your success Betty, and thanks for choosing a subject that us elderly types will find relatively easy to satisfy ! I was tempted to upload 3 photos of myself doing stuff, but I'll try to find some more photogenic subject matter. 1) Senior lady volunteering with the sustainable transport charity Sustrans 2) Older lady playing fiddle 3) Older man repairing bicycles

I always want to get in quick before too many fabulous images are posted and imposter syndrome kicks in Failed again Certainly not because of me! People are my weakest point. Each time there's a challenge theme involving people, I think that's it, I'm out of this one. Then I search on Image Manager and am surprised to find a few. Wouldn't say they're good though but I try. Chin up!

I had a few of women, but they were taken at too much of a distance to measure up.

spacecadet
It will be tricky for me to find anything in this category because I don't use the term "old" to refer to people! Buildings, town, cars, yes. but not people. I resist the term. Edited February 8 by spacecadet

I don’t think Betty will care if “old” is used or not, it’s the concept of being older in age.

But of course I am 15 years older than when I started not doing it. I have few images with people as the focus and I don't think I have anything where the age of the person is relevant to what they're doing, so that's probably why I've avoided it. I wouldn't know where to draw the line now, 70? 80? 90?- I just don't. I have grandchildren- at a decade and more older than my grandparents were when I was born- and do not describe myself as "old". I hope I never will. Edited February 8 by spacecadet
