When people say photography isn’t important or is not worth paying for, show them this pic.  It’s going to go down in history as one of the most important pictures of modern times.

If its the guy urinating his face, name address should be published in every newspaper in UK.😡

Pg. 12, Illustration of the the killing of Mocha Dick, CPA Media Pte Ltd (credit to Alamy only)

In addition to Herman Melville's own experience on the whaling ship Acushnet, two real events served as the genesis for his Moby Dick. One was the sinking of the Nantucket ship Essex in 1820, after a sperm whale rammed her 2,000 miles (3,200 km) from the western coast of South America. The other event was the alleged killing in the late 1830s of the albino sperm whale Mocha Dick, in the waters off the Chilean island of Mocha. Mocha Dick was rumored to have 20 or so harpoons in his back from other whalers, and appeared to attack ships with premeditated ferocity. Stock Photo

Pg. 17, Klaus Fuchs, Everett Collection

Rather troubling that it's under a CC licence. That might give the impression that the images are covered by that licence- I don't see how they can be.

Unlikely that anyone would cut images from it for reuse but the publisher could be in real trouble if they did- especially if any of the photographers has taken the trouble to do a US copyright registration.
