None for me, EVER

Perhaps contributors with a lot of UK content are at a disadvantage when it comes to distributor sales. I don't know. Typically, I get a couple every month. However, this was the most I've seen in a long time. Not great prices, but it all adds up. I've had some $$$ ones as well in the past.

Distributor sales have been declining for me of late, but I see that six were invoiced today. Someone must have been saving them up.:D

Were they to Germany? I had 8 today. Ah if they spoke English... they wouldn't need to use a distributor... Alternatively, they could use the German office.

Won't know details until around 6pm PST. Shall let you know.

Turns out one of them is actually a direct sale, so five distro sales, probably to the same buyer by the looks of it.

No sales since Oct/ Nov.  One zoom in January.

But, then again, I make more from one direct sale than an entire year on Alamy.  With the latest commission debacle, it's become clear that Alamy will only ever be pocket money and (more importantly) free promotion.  So not crying into my cornflakes about it all.

Yes agree that a direct sale comes up trumps :) Well i am still to have some pocket money for this month, but it will happen soonish..This year i am making more effort to build my folio as i have more time and i want some more pocket money..

I see that you specialise in architecture James and i like the way you go about it...great images too..There is quite a lot of new building projects proceeding in London and surrounds, as i love architecture as well i enjoy seeing new designs and building styles, and there is a lot happening in your neck of the woods...across the huge pond from where i live.

I used to live in Melbourne and now live in Ballarat for the last 8 years, and will be getting down to Melbourne to photograph more architecture as the city has some great new completed buildings...I know i have plenty to photograph here in Australia, but i know i would have a ball in a city like London with my camera!...Ahh keep dreaming Bill...and clicking away :D

If you're impatient like me, you don't need to wait. Just download the csv Excel file. All details are there.

My 8 to Germany are a bit strange: it looks like 5 are for future dates and 3 for the past year.

Yes, all five to Germany, "direct mail and brochures" (travel). Usage terms, dates, etc. are exactly the same for all, but inconsistent prices -- two for $ each and three for $$ each, which is a bit odd. Forgot about downloading the csv file. Thanks.

P.S. Most German people I've met speak English in varying degrees. Angela Merkel prefers to use a translator for some reason, but she speaks English very well, probably better than some North American politicians in high places.

That's the one. Are you sure the dates are the same? I got:

x5 from 01 Jan 18 to 01 Jan 19 = $$

x3 from 01 Dec 18 to 01 Dec 19 = $

This might be telling us that prices for 2019 will go down through this distributor.

I plan to drop out of Distribution come April. During 2018, I got half a dozen such licenses, 100% of which were "Bulk Discount, Flat Rate" sales. From the time I got my first sales with Alamy in 2015 to 2017 there were some distributor licenses at decent rates, but not lately. Perhaps my collection is too small to draw a fair conclusion and one could figure that every little bit helps. But it looks like the distributors are undercutting Alamy's prices by a significant margin using their flat rate deals and the same images would have licensed for higher rates if contracted directly.

Just checked again. The dates were all the same for mine: Start: 01 December 2018  / End: 01 December 2019

The three $$ sales were priced roughly 3 times the two $ ones

It's all very mysterious. 3 times is also my ratio.

One $$ distributor sale for me so far, to South Korea, of an object photographed in my house!

6 sales to date in 2019 but zooms not recovered from holiday rout. Lowest they have been for a long, long time......

Two mid $$ distributor sales yesterday, Germany and South Korea, to add to two other reasonable $$ direst sales earlier in the month. Fairly normal for the first half of the month for me.  29 zooms - again, pretty normal.  Sorry to be boringly average :)

Not helped by live news images used 7 months ago invoiced nearly 3 months ago and still not cleared. If I wanted to run a business by giving my customers 7 months interest free credit my bank manager would escort me to the door.!!!

Try invoiced 5 months ago and still not cleared. I’m sure someone can beat that.

I expect there are its just a shocking way for contributors to be treated as if its normal. After all we are the ones supplying the product that both news papers and alamy need to stay in business, and for alamy to accept that its ok for the publication to take up to 4 months before they register an image used then on top of that add another 3-5 months after an invoice is issued and still not paid as perfectly acceptable seems bizarre.

Used to be nothing to write here about, but these days an event. A direct $150 lease popped in this morning, and I am relatively happy.

Zooms and CTR  still abysmal however the future looks bleak.

Strange times. Tomorrow, I will lose the last zoom in my Alamy measures rolling month and, unless I get another zoom today, will then have nil zooms and CTR. Never had that except for the earliest days of being here. By way of contrast I have actually garnered more (small) sales this month than in the previous three. i suppose I should be grateful

Yes, I also had a few days of 0 zooms, very strange. But a couple of decent sales this week, and finally a couple of zooms.

One of the sales was a distributor sale, but decent nonetheless. To Canada (!?)
