Great appreciation for Michael saving my bacon. He lives in the DC area but I think he’s a Georgia peach!

All of the images I chose are excellent. Choosing was very difficult because I could have easily chosen an additional 8. You should have seen my initial list!

Good job, people!

Thanks, Betty (and Micheal). But it's a paper map in Rome.

Sorry about that, Edo. I plead exhaustion. That’s my excuse & I’m stickin’ to it. Love the offset composition of that image. Good eye.

Thanks for choosing one of mine, Betty. It must have been so hard choosing eight from all the wonderful images submitted.

It was very hard. I have the utmost empathy for all other winners that in their roll have had to choose. There’s an element of guilt involved.

I’m calling the contest finished a few minutes early since I have to be elsewhere at the exact time.  CONGRATULATIONS to Steve Hyde for the excellent winning photograph “Hoot For Peace”.

Steve, I’m passing the baton to you for the next challenge. Have fun choosing the subject & setting it up! thank you again, Michael.

All good photos, but Steve's Hoot had a bit more weight and message. I voted for it and there's no truth in the rumor that I was promised a slice or two of Steve's tasty cakes.

Thank you for the kind comments guys, I’m a bit chuffed about that, especially given the stiff competition. Thank you Betty for a great challenge.

I’ll look through the long list of previous competition subjects I’ve found and put a post up later with this months challenge 🙂

Ed, the cakes in the post, as promised 😉
