I'm always amazed when I watch British crime dramas (a particular favorite of mine) that your police drive such high end cars. It makes sense in a chase but here most police cars are far from fancy.

Inspector Morse's old Jaguar and Vera's beat-up Land Rover are notable exceptions.

I think that the forum can do well without political bias.

I just laughed so much my wife asked if I was ok. After hearing why, she joined in too!

Jaguars and Land Rovers (even the base model) are very expensive here. But Morse and Vera have gotten their money's worth indeed! Of course most cars these days cost what our parents probably paid for their first house (parents born in the 1920's & 30's, that is).

(Something's changed again and I can't figure out how to get the image to appear. Spoiler alert: it is very far from being a special image!)

Not sure i see bias, regardless where you stand, being thrown out by your own party has to damage anyone's reputation.

My point was that this forum is, generally and fortunately, free of politics. May it long remain so.

Yes, the Dazzle Ship, MV Fingal, in Leith Docks as  part of the Edinburgh Arts Festival in 2016, it's had a bit of a makeover since then: https://www.fingal.co.uk/
