John. $ 0.18 I would be willing to tolerate these sales if they were exceptional. But they are becoming more frequent and, in addition, prices, numbers and profits are falling. I don't even remember selling a photo for more than $ 100. It won't take long and my interest in the Alamas will definitely end. I'll go the other way. As the images in your link are credited to Alamy/AP, first time I’ve seen that, is Alamy and AP both taking a cut from a low sale value, hence the ridiculous $0.18? I know it will be a bulk sale but please Alamy as suppliers we can't make a living wage from this kind of sale. On the other hand, I've had 6 healthy $$$ so far in 2021. My images are all RM and all exclusive with Alamy. I hope Tony Stone is staying healthy and enjoying his retirement in the South of France. Do they wait until the end of the contract to ever pay? I get tiddlers -- e.g. CT -- but nothing like this (touch wood). On the other end of the spectrum, a $$$ sale (TV use) popped up this week. Ok ... my kettle went bang this morning so to be able to buy a new cheap one with my royalty split on these sales I'd need Alamy to sell another 223 at this price. Then that newspaper can sell on those images through syndication. To me it is completley demeaning and downright shameful. Not the lowest fee but it was the terms of usage that annoyed me most here given the fee... Country: Worldwide Media: All media Start: 18 November 2021 Duration: Unlimited £4.50!! If it was for personal use or on a single website would have overlooked it. At the same time another image (in fact a still pulled from high bitrate 4K video footage I had shot) sold twice for $44.45 a piece. It would be useful if we had some link to perhaps a generic eplanation to justify such low fees relevant to usage terms. Presumably this image was sold as part of a bundle and hence that's my share 😕 Video is clearly the medium to focus my efforts going forward. The exception maybe reportage imagery and unique concept photography or other unique topics few have access to but may be I should find another more specialist outlet for the latter 🤔 Anyway rare I'm out now shooting solely pictures these days. That will be the time I remove all of my images, most likely. if there’s a collapse, I think it will only be after some desperate moves like just happened to us, and the ensuing time to see if it works for Alamy. Prepare yourselves for more cuts down the road. Will it happen? Who knows…but I’m seeing some faint handwriting on the wall.
