Oops sorry for a new post, I didn’t see any other comments on the forum about this

To be honest you can be forgiven this time - the forum is so messed up half the time threads do not appear at all (and yes there are a couple of threads about the forum being messed up)

There's several ongoing issues with Measures and the forum. Relax everybody, it's frustrating but they'll sort it.

The wonderful thing would be to have 5 sales when Alamy measures will come up again :)

I am not sure frustrating is the word - I cannot see what searches have been done, which of my photos appeared where they shouldn't and if them doing so was down to mis-keywording (normally this is not the case it is that 2 or more relevant keywords have been put together in an irrelevant way),  which of my photos have not appeared where they should, and which of the searches are getting zooms (quite a lot of searches now record no zooms)
Then we get to the forum where I cannot reliably see what Alamy images have been found and what images have sold (useful for looking at technique and subject).  It is a case of upload close my eyes and hope - I am not receiving the information I need to tweak my shots to make them more saleable.  So frustrating is putting it mildly.

On my company we're supporting 5000 users (IT helpdesk).

When more than 500 users have an work-blocking-issue it's called P1 (maximum priority affecting VIP users). Elicopters and firefighters (every specialists you have in mind) come in and stay 24/7 here 'till they didn't solve the issue.

Now for Alamy Measures we have here THOUSANDS of users (contributors) affected and we can't work without Alamy Measures because it's our main marketing/sales source for working on our pictures.

Did Alamy write a Tweet at least? B)

Indeed, nevertheless it would be nice, even prudent, for Alamy to respond and tell us what’s going on.

No tweet as far as I can see.

Could this problem have anything to do with the security issue affecting 500px since Feb. 8th?

Just wondering !

It seems very unlikely that only Alamy Measures would be affected by a security issue, and not the login to the main site or the forum. Alamy Measures has gone un-updated for days at a time in the past, though not usually for quite so long and not usually without Alamy acknowledging they have an IT issue. That is indeed a little puzzling, tending towards concerning if Alamy remain tight-lipped about the issue.

It is the tight-lipped bit that concerns me.  I have used services that suffered a major failure (all be it not their fault) with a 3rd of the hardware wiped out.  The replacements had to be flown in special emergency order from the continent.  However, they tweeted, emailed, and notified exactly what had happened and what they were doing to fix it, and I don't think any of their customers had any beef with them because at the end of the day stuff happens and things go wrong.  The fact that we knew what was going on made the difference.  The only experiences I have had with firms not being open about what is happening have not had such good outcomes.

just seen on the twitter feed at the side of the page, that they have tweeted they are aware and working on it, but can't give a time frame.
I do not have or follow twitter, so noticed by accident. Perhaps it should be mentioned on here for those who don't tweet.

I find all these conspiracy theories amazing. It's not the first time it has happened and no doubt it won't be the last. :)

I agree, however it has now been a week. I don’t think I have come across an online IT problem that took so long to fix before.

I suspect that the tech people at Alamy are buried in work getting set for the new and more complicated commission structure. Fixing Measures is not likely to be a big priority under the circumstances. I don't remember such a long period without Measures in the past but I understand how it could be happening now.
