Have alamy stopped sending out confirmation emails regarding QC passed?

I have had my last 2 uploads passed but no email, if it was not for me checking my account daily I would not have known that they had passed.

Well I've just received a mail telling me I'd passed so logged in to find most recent subs still in QC...so the mail must refer to the ones that passed yesterday!!!

Bit odd really as I've not experienced this before.

You are lucky to have been uploading, Was this via web or FTP?

I have been trying to upload on the web for a few days now and no matter what time of day I try the upload sticks on the first image file for a looooong time. I mentioned this in another thread too. My internet connection is fine in the normal run of things, it is just Alamy that is the problem. It appears that the problem may be with Alamy servers going into overload. There does seem to be a lot of problems just now, maybe they are worn out.

Another thought that springs to mind is that I have gone Alamy "EXCLUSIVE" with my images and they are trying to limit "EXCLUSIVE" uploads.:)

Just Joking Alamy.:)

I always use FTP and it has had a few issues with slow uploads over the last month, but those subbed this week have gone through reasonably quickly, but still not as quick as uploads I send to others, so IMHO there is something at Alamys end slowing things down. It doesn't seem to be related to time of day/night either as I upload at varying times.

Hope you get sorted soon as it must be very frustrating.

When I suggested the servers being worn out on another thread I got my ears pinned back for making spurious allegations

I still get the passed (touch wood) QC e-mails but usually about 24 hours after the fact, occasionally sooner or longer or never at all.

I just FTP-ed a small batch of images, and they uploaded fairly quickly. They're already awaiting Judgement Day. B)
