Big images on Zoom page.

Wow the images on the zoom pages have grown!

Have I been missing something? How long have they been like that?

I'm pretty sure they were still small on Sunday when I set up the poll.

You're right, they are huuuge! This is a recent change.

I wonder why they did this? It almost knocked my monitor over when I hit the preview button:P

They're still the same smallish size ... like Sunday.

Still small on Google Chrome.

Are you going to the Alamy website and then clicking on a preview? They are huge on both Chrome and Edge for me.

Yes, I am seeing them bigger, using Chrome, as a browser, on a PC

Good, then I'm not going insane like I previously thought.

I'm seeing the larger image too. Seems like an improvement to me.

Does the larger image include varying watermark placement to hinder screen-grabs and prevent automatic watermark removal that Google disclosed?

The position indeed varies a bit.

Not sure if this is new or just because the size of the images vary as well.

The vertical images are all 1300px wide, but different height.

Horizontal images are 1390px high.

One of mine is 1300x1377px though: must have been a difficult decision ;-)

edit: the watermarks on the verticals look suspiciously the same.

Has great impact, like it. This might result in us seeing less zooms show up!!

The 'zoom' is registered when the initial  thumbnail is clicked on,...not when the second image is clicked for the 'preview' ...

This will have no effect on zoom stats

Alamy havent really changed anything...I've been downloading the 'image details' photos of all the pix i've sold for the last couple of years.....they've been at 1300x995 pixels (ie. the size of the 'preview image') for a long long time.....just the way they're *displayed* now is different
