Selling for pennies

Yesterday 9 sales came through. As a result my account has increased by $0.35! (Yes, after all 9). I think it will work out at about 3p per image by the time it reaches me. 😡😡

Every image has gone to China via a distributor. 
Who else has had the same thing happen? 
 

UPDATE - 7 more have come through today. So that’s 16 in total, all the same fee.

Alamy please will you tell us why you are letting this happen?

I had 1. RF image $0.15 gross, $0.04 net. Image size 1,275 x 1,700 6.2MB. China.

Presumably these are all to the same customer?

I wonder if there's any pattern in the type of images being purchased? He's mine.

Looks like somebody has made a bulk purchase of reduced resolution images...

No mention of Novel Use in the Licence details.

My 9 images were varied. Two of a pig, one of a dog, three autumn leaf images, one of a holly tree, one of swallows, and one of playground equipment with tape around it taken during the first lockdown!  No mention of novel use and all RF.

same for me 2 of the 15 cents.  and i have another distributor sale today for $, again from China, which i opted out under the new Contract.  Alamy doesn't even apply the rules they set

opt out means nothing.  I opted out of China, and have now 3 licences for Distributor in China in last 2 days.

some larger case counts 50, 81 reported on a random other board where Alamy has been know to post (i wonder if they will again).  It seems to have favoured MS type, RF images, my two were.

I got 7 of the .15 sales.  I am not, a never have been, in Novel Use.  They were RF images.  All I can say is that Alamy has to be desperate to make a deal like this.  Sort of a sad way to end the year.

three people who got the sales are reporting they were opted out (two here, one on some other board)

I had two exact licenses for the same image with the same license details as others are describing: 

 

RF 4.1 MB;1464 x 977 pixels;45 KB  compressed ; Additional Details: China.  $0.15 license $0.04 to me 

 

I suppose one will be refunded.

It sounds like someone is trying to buy as much of RF images... but why and for what?

Perhaps their subscription is running out and they are just using what they have left to buy what they think might come in useful for the future.
