Chuck Nacke
Over the years I have had agents (libraries) license a number of images for broadcast or film (motion). It is a large market and one that I do not feel Alamy is pursuing enough from what I know. It would be good to see Alamy licensing more still images for broadcast and film. Jools Elliott
I've had two sales of images for TV adverts through another library. each one has netted me some decent $s ! One was a Japanese advert for fashion. The other was for a furniture advert to be shown in the UK. I would LOVE to see them both but no idea where or how. Peter Jordan
Red Snapper "They happen every now and again" That's what I wanted to know. (This being my first) Interesting that the others that have responded have had theirs used for TV ads which should net more $$ than mine, which was for editorial content. CM photo
I had an editorial sale, used on QI. I get to see it every few months as the programme is repeated endlessly! About $400 if I remember rightly but no repeat fees. Chris
Alex Todd
The other was for a furniture advert to be shown in the UK. I would LOVE to see them both but no idea where or how. If it's not top secret, let us see the UK one and we can maybe track it down for you.

Number Six
I had one editorial sale for Japanese TV in 2010; unltd transmissions, use within body of show, three year period.
Pearl
Recently had a nice TV ad sale which I see quite often on ITV. That was through Alamy. Also had a smaller TV sale via Getty but couldn't track it down at all. Pearl
John Gaffen
I have had one sale to Japanese TV, over time, I recieved more than one royalty payment, as, it was used several different times.
John Mitchell
I've had two, one for $250 in 2012 and another for $135 (Japan) last year.
Phil Robinson
I've only had one in Britain (ITV news) but I've had several to Japanese TV, and they are worth having. You just have to watch any news program, quiz show or the opening credits to QI to realise that there is a demand for stills on the telly.
Jools Elliott
I think my last one for a British TV furniture advert was a gross of $2K if memory serves. Unfortunately it was with a library beginning with G and I only got 30%. Still not bad though
Peter Jordan
As one might expect the historic prices being quoted are higher than the $78.90 gross that I got for this 5-year license for 14 days editorial use by ITV. Not complaining though, just hoping Daily Mail does not move into TV.

Doc
I have had a couple in the last few years - no huge amounts of money but I guess that would depend on the specific useage Kumar
dov makabaw
I once thought I had. Advised MS as it wasn't billed. To my embarrassment it turned out that someone else at Alamy had an identical image and their's was the one selected! You win some you lose some! dov
Terry
Had 2, one to BBC (Have I got news for you) and one to Japan TV, Japanese version of Top Gear. Terry.
Sheila Smart
My most recent license was to the production company in the UK which was producing a doco for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee with singer Gary Barlow (who, unfortunately, I did not know from a bar of soap!). Apparently Prince Charles liked my image of Cedric, an aborigingal busker and the company paid me 220 pounds for video rights in the UK only. A few years back, I supplied several images of faces to a local television network in Sydney for $700 and a couple of images to another Sydney production company showing a series on the ABC. All of these did not involve any agencies. Sheila
