Spectacled Flying Fox or Spectacled Fruit Bat (Pteropus conspicillatus).

Several thousand recently dropped dead from the trees in town centre due to the heatwave.

Beautiful photos. The flying fox looks like a dinosaur! So sad they are suffering so badly from the heatwave.

Nice one Bryan. Never an easy subject this one as you're almost always shooting into the sun. Good amount of water coming down as well. One of mine taken in summer conditions:
