Oh, I don't mind eating them if they've had a decent life.

Piglets are great. East Suffolk seems to raise a lot of them. When we were there recently there was even a notice in a layby by a pig field asking people not to approach the piglets, presumably for reasons of biosecurity (or not getting charged by an angry sow)- they obviously expected folk to stop and stare, which of course I had, on my bicycle.

The other major crop appeared to be turf.

Piglets. Ha. These were fully grown. :-)

Hi hdh, the poll closes at midnight on September 9th. It's admittedly hidden well, just below the poll, lower right corner. In alamy's favourite 'invisibility cloak grey' font colour.;)

Hope that helps!

Blind me, thank you!

This is tough to pick who to vote for. Great photos!

I thought the camels were a slam dunk .. but the couple on the rainy beach and the synchronized penguins are really interesting as well .. and the optimistic ice cream seller ...

It's a very close call between gvalee's "Camel Train on Cable Beach" and Steve Hyde's "Couple Sitting out a Sudden Squall" at the moment. Both fantastic images.

The poll will remain open for another 1.5 hrs or so, so if anyone still wants to vote to give either of those pics (or any other images in the short list) a last and final push over the finish line...well, now is the time. I'm logging off for the day, may the best picture win and ,many congratulations in advance!!

Blimey, it's exactly as you predicted - leading with one day to go then pipped at the post.

I don't mind one bit. The winner is well deserved. I voted for it!

That couple was kind of irresistible. There were several others (including yours, Gen) that I almost voted for too. I wanted more votes!

I think we should have Single Transferrable Vote in future!

Wow, thanks to everyone who voted. I'm surprised my couple on the beach did so well but, at the same time, really chuffed it was voted by a bunch of guys I consider to be my peers here in the world of stock. I must admit I thought Gen's Camel Train was a 'Slam Dunk' as I saw it described in one thread. So much so, I hadn't really thought about choosing a theme for September up until now. I'll do a bit of research, to see whats gone before, and get a new theme posted into the Forum by Tuesday if that's ok with everyone.

Thanks again to everyone who took part and voted. Thanks to Christine for setting the challenge and organising to poll etc

Steve
