Signs are not good

Recommended Posts

Following a worrying two months hiatus during which I saw my views dwindle to zero along with zooms and my CTR, in the last few days my views have picked up dramatically and zooms are now trickling in. None translated into sales as yet, but I’m feeling a little more optimistic. Fingers crossed.

Call me mad, but I’ve uploaded around ninety pictures this week and working through keywords and captioning. Already seeing some of those that have cleared for sale appearing in my views today. Got another seventy odd pics in Lightroom to edit and upload and will be out shooting more next week.

As quoted in another thread. "ZILCH"

That means no sales and no zooms either.

I don’t understand that. You have some good images, unless it has to do with how far back in searches you are.

Thanks for the complement on the images.

On checking earlier I was usually on the first two pages and quite often near the top of page one. Maybe search algorithm has been changed.

PS It is this month in particular things have dropped off. Wonder if it is because of holidays (vacations) making things a bit slack.

the way to go

I haven't  given up on stock photos - I am just feeling the necessity more than ever to diversify.

I'm spending more and more time on different stuff for print-on-demand and specialist videos, both of which are sent to sites where you can set your own prices.

I thought I had reached the end of my almost 15 years with Alamy with zero sales in July, but I see 2 sales for August (total $20), so maybe there is still hope.

No zooms for August, which is the first month this happens .. so that is not good ...

The sale that finally came through this month I saw was at the top of page one in the searches.

Well, I’m sitting watching the last hours of August dwindle away with not a single sale for the month. The last sale I had was a single image in July for a lowly $9 gross.

Given the previously mentioned upturn in views I am aware that sales can take some time to be reported so I will remain optimistic that some may materialise during September.

.........and I wake this morning on the first day of September to find a sale has popped in for a decent $$. Hopefully my optimism may not be misplaced and September will be the turning point.

I not been on the forum for some years and have a zombie collection, no updates to keywording, no new subs. A recent set of sales has been unprecedented. It would appear to be for the same buyer as have come in dribs and drabs but all for an on-line learning course. (And each one garnering me 10 cents ) I have lightboxed them here.https://www.alamy.com/search/lightbox/4725114.html

I think your lightbox works only for you. I'm just getting a sign-in loop.

Wow - can't recall the last time this happened (or if it ever did).
