I'm not in Australia, but I'm not seeing a paywall yet. The search function seems to work. Do you have a specific date or article you're looking for or just the image?

Thanks for your help, Wim.

They have certain articles available to view free, but there are large parts of News Corp Australia which are behind a paywall.  Yes, the search function works, but then shows restricted articles as well as free ones.

The specific articles are in the 'Gold Coast Bulletin' (article date 2018-12-03) :

Which can be linked to from this search: https://www.goldcoastbulletin.com.au/search-results?q=online%20kiosks (first article in the search - image shown in the link is not mine)

and the 'Daily Telegraph' ( article date 2019-04-08) :

Before you ask, I found these usages a long while ago via a Google search, which had thumbnails (and/or larger images) in the search. Google search archives still have results available (e.g. cropped version of the image for the second article here: https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https://cdn.newsapi.com.au/image/v1/13f56662f8041ef71d567fe05f56fa35%3Fwidth%3D316&imgrefurl=https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/newslocal/macarthur/rowan-enright-blamed-angry-outburst-on-frustrating-mcdonalds-selfservice-kiosks/news-story/b3d87eea63df889186a9b14c27f82074&h=421&w=316&tbnid=4S8yDm6SlJQoJM&tbnh=259&tbnw=194&usg=K_28WReWY9SoKbKtgg-kPeWdRZ9i4=&docid=EXa-p3909X0k2M).

Sorry - forgot.  This is the image: KA1NH8.

Sorry I can only be of help with the paper editions: it's not in either of them.

The Daily Telegraph Sydney of 2019-04-11 had the article about Rxxxn Exxxxxt but with a different image of a McDonalds Kiosk, same sort of crop, now with a woman's arm pointing.

The Gold Coast Bulletin ran the article on 2018-12-04 by Ann Wason Moore about robots or kiosks, but with an image of a Turkish humanoid robot.

Here are some you have probably found already:

https://n2fdata.org/dining-experience2/
https://occupation-of-independence.blogspot.com/2019/02/our-digital-menu-driven-world.html (with Alamy watermarks).

Thank you, that's helpful and good of you. You have print editions of Aussie Newspapers?! I''m now imagining your cellar (Netflix Fargo) :)

Yes, I'd found the first one - currently in progress via a third party service. The second one is new to me, but as it's an Alamy-watermarked version, and a blog, then if I bother at all, then I'll just issue a DMCA takedown. Thanks again.

Apologies again to all for clogging up the thread.  Shame that Alamy, in their wisdom, removed the PM service a couple of years back. :(
