Right, Niels. They cut out the background so it's just the stone and a little of the foreground against white.

Usage: Editorial
Media: Book, print and/or e-book
Print run: up to 5,000
Placement: Inside
Image Size: 1/8 page

What page are you referring to Sally? Not concerned about the NT images, they're so aggressive towards us everyday togs I'd be delighted if their images are pirated - they deserve everything they get. But you should refer your image to Contributor relations if you think it has been ripped off.

I see you've edited your post to include the website address. However I'm not prepared to disable my browser features to view it. Contact Subscriber relations if you feel that your image has been misused.

Yes sorry, I had forgotten the link. It’s

http://www.tobyandkc.com/victorian-christmas-traditions.html

i was really wondering about the general issue of images being lifted and used with the Alamy logo and watermark etc. I don’t know whether that counts as an infringement that Alamy will chase.

there are lots of other within the links at the bottom of the page,

eg Christmas Time has Jochen Tack’s F871PJ
