Random QC checks

I'm a five-star general [drum roll], so my image submissions have been bypassing QC for the past few weeks. Today, though, a small batch has been held back and is now "awaiting QC". I thought that perhaps, due to staff shortages etc., random QC checks might have been put on hold for those with 5-star ratings. Obviously this isn't the case. It's no big deal, but I'm curious how long others have had to wait lately when random checks kick in. Should I take up knitting? 😅

Last two for me were cleared in less than 24hrs. Both in the last couple of weeks.

I had a small batch stopped by QC today. The 4 or 5 batches before that went right through. That seems to be the pattern now for 5-star super people.

I did an upload yesterday evening: they passed 8:35 this morning.  5* QC rating really does push you to the front of the queue.  This evenings submission went straight through.

I have the 5* status too. I have found that there is a pattern, about one of every four or five submissions gets held up for closer scrutiny.  Oops, I see that Edo said just about the same thing.

It sounds like the checks are more frequent than they used to be. Sometimes it's tough being a star...😎

You should be aware that there are very many positive reasons why you should take up knitting. Perhaps it's time for a rethink.😉😄

I'm 5 star and can't remember the last time a stock submission didn't clear instantly.  Live News pics always clear immediately.

Lately, I've been digging up/digitizing/submitting slides for archival, so no QC holdups here.

I'm a humble 3 star but my submissions uploaded in the evening always clear by the close of the following day.

Well, they cleared QC overnight, which makes me wonder why some people are reporting long waits on other threads. Perhaps some kind of friendly robot is being used for 5-star checks.

 

Knitting needles and a rocking chair might be just around the corner, but I don't want to rush it... 😄

I'm a humble 3 star "should have done better" foot soldier but thankfully my submissions generally sometimes usually mostly always clear overnight or sooner😰

just to add.  My random check are usually until end of next business day, and the hitting the line up usually happens at midnight UK time.  So if you have a do of no QC, rushing a few last images before clock turns for dear old queenie, can mean gaining a couple of days of available time.
