NYCat
FXET7T Cute unknown dog. I haven't even put "mutt" in the keywords because I don't know. Any thoughts? Paulette
fotoDogue
Could be a Cairn Terrier like Toto in the Wizzard of Oz. Or it could be a Terrier Mix. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cairn_Terrier
spacecadet
Not entirely unlike a Yorkshire terrier, perhaps with 'type' added?

fotoDogue
If it's really tiny, like less than 10 lb, it could be a Chorkie - Yorkshire Terrier-Chihuahua mix.
Jill Morgan
Been to a zillion dog shows, and don't think this one is pure, but possibly a Cairn. So many crosses in the small breeds, I would just safely go with mutt or crossbreed. Jill

Ed Rooney
I wish I could see a bit more of the dog, but I would say Cairn Terrier or maybe a Yorkshire Terrier. Not a Gremlin, Philippe. Sorry.

NYCat
Thank you all for your input. I think I'll go with Jill's suggestion because of her experience at dog shows. I've gone with crossbreed but wonder if I should also say terrier. That seems pretty obvious--whatever mix it might be. Paulette Edit: I changed my mind and took out mutt and mongrel. I think it is a terrier without a doubt so I will just leave it at that. Cute and adorable stay in. Ringo was my favorite Beatle. What can I say? Lynn Palmer
I've had three Cairns, the face and eyes aren't quite right.
NYCat
I've had three Cairns, the face and eyes aren't quite right. Yes, there was definitely something "not right" about the little guy and his owner appreciated that. I got some more, crazier shots but the focus was off and I ended up using this more straightforward one. Paulette
spacecadet
It's a Yorkie with hyperthyroid.
Christopher Price
He looks quite a bit like my small dog that we bought from a breeder. He is primarily yorkie with a little bit of chihuahua (might explain the hyperthyroid look). Chris
digi2ap
At first glance it looked to me like a Brussels Griffon.....but the nose maybe isn't quite right.
