June 2023 Favourite Uploads

We’re just back from a visit to the mad but brilliant Marrakesh, Morocco. I knew the street photography there would be fantastic and it didn’t disappoint. I’m still busy working through my cards but here are a few uploads from our visit…

Seen in Wigan, Greater Manchester, or do they still think of themselves as Lancastrians ?

I believe they are calling themselves Mancunians now.

I’ve never bothered much with flower pics, having read that the stock agencies are saturated with them. However, I made a couple of good sales last year with two, of the few flower pics, I do have in my portfolio so I decided I’d try to add a few more to my collection this summer. Here’s a few I’ve uploaded recently..

I hope that photographer is making a good income with his Turkish costume, but I am back in Manchester taking photos of fans going to the Parklife Festival this morning. And my transport was more mundane than a cruise ship.

I have that same honeysuckle vine (last two images of yours) growing on my front brick wall. I planted it at a previous home also. I love it, so superior to the common honeysuckle. Much larger, showier blooms and hummingbirds & insects love it.

That’s a great picture 👏 it’s a semi evergreen plant, here in the south west of the UK. My neighbour has one and it scrambles over into our garden. The scent from those flowers, especially in the evening, is amazing

BTW just added vine to my keywords 🙂

👍 In the USA, it’s called Goldflame honeysuckle.

I'm finally getting around to uploading some new photos. Here are three that I like.

Clinging vines. I tried for a vintage look. It seems to have worked OK.

Cambie Bridge at sunset, Vancouver. Love watching the drunken crows. Entered this one in the "Bridges" challenge.
