Alert! Cuteness overload.

Yes it was impossible to choose between funny animals and funny captions.

The others were at least as good and cute, but in the end only 8 can remain on this list and this month it's these:

Thank you for choosing one of mine wim. Tough competition and great fun choosing which images to put up.

Thank you, wim, for allowing mine in the voting. I sat on the floor of a raptor show to get this shot. Then I had to ask a stranger to help me get up! Nicely muscled young man saved me. 😂 I could have been in the purgatory of shooting feet otherwise.

At one point you were the runner up. However we seem to have lost 13 votes or so during the hiccups.

The 13 may have broken it.

Please take a look if your vote has also been lost due to the forum having hiccups this Sunday afternoon.

Mine had.

edit: The image aspect ratios have gone funny again too. https://tweakers.net/g/s/bonk.gif

Thanks for including my Mabel in the tub image Wim!  She was patiently waiting for water (which she loved).

Haha her face is suggesting otherwise. Cats can be very passive aggressive.

Wim, many thanks for choosing Denzil, once my constant companion on 1000 assignments. He acted as guard dog in the car, collector of biscuits at every new-build sales suite I ever visited, filled my boot with firewood and made me laugh several times a day. Sadly missed!

Great, but did you actually want the firewood?:D

Not really, had a gas fire at the time.

I'd have quite liked one of the biscuits the sales ladies handed out, but he'd always eaten them all whilst I was doing the show homes...

Cheers! Truly not hunting for votes, there would be hundreds of stories about Denzil. Part terrier, part car-park attendant (as in, you-can't-park-that-'ere  type of character).

All mouth and no trousers, made me laugh every day.

Haha!

The takeaway?

Both captions and stories (or Additional info or More information) help sell an image!

That reminds me of my mother’s dog, years ago. We were parked while my stepfather got fishing permits for us at the lake hut. A man walked between our car and a row of bushes. Danny, (the dog) let loose with his most fierce, guttural barks. The big, burly man jumped sideways into the bushes, then had to extricate himself.

My belly hurt from laughing.

Aaand we have a winner ladies and gents; dudes and dudettes! 🍾

TeeCee's Denzil, treading lightly while carrying a big stick, has won after a remarkable catch up during the last part of the race.  🏆 🥇

So TeeCee, now a two time winner, will set and host the next challenge.

There's no rule about thinking up a theme that has not been done before. There are no rules at all actually, the winner just sets her or his own rules.

Thank you all for taking part!

And thank you all for voting!

Thanks to everyone for voting for Denzil, though long gone he'd have been delighted with all the attention. (Moreso if it involved a biscuit).

And thanks to Wim for the up-to-date list, I'll put my thinking cap on and come up with something for the May Challenge.
