Darryl
Now that we have a new interface, can we finally get rid of this? I didn't choose to use the old version. On the old interface, I could click directly to the new version. I'm not seeing that now. Honestly, I don't care which version I use, but I've been told it will shortly be turned off for years. You have chosen to use the old version of "Manage Images". This version will shortly be turned off. We recommend that you use the new version which has additional functionality and an improved interface. Continue to use the old version Take me to the new version
wiskerke
Noooo, please. Please let me keep the old version. At least until there is a version as good as the old one. I do use the new version for things I cannot do in the old one. About 5% of the time, maybe less. To get to the old or the new one, I use bookmarks. (Actually mostly bookmark buttons on my bookmark tool bar.) My understanding was btw that most people had no access to the old version any more. Only those that had been using it regularly were presented this link. wim
JohnB
I mostly use the old version. I have always been presented with the choice of either. Hope they don't take it away.
Darryl
You're right. Since there was a direct link to it, I've been using the new version since it came out, but the old one is quicker. Since I have to make a choice each time and they are apparently not going to "turn it off shortly", I've gone back to the old one also.
NYCat
I wish I could use the old one. The squished thumbnails are not useful. Also, of course, the batch processing is helpful but would be good to be able to append additional keywords without losing everything. Stephen Barnes
Agree that we shouldn't need to go through the extra screen. From the My Alamy dashboard, "Manage your images" should go straight to the new editor, but there should be a smaller link below it to allow users to go to the old editor. Best of both worlds.... Vincent MacNamara
Some means of annotating old images using ios would be useful. I've about 1,500 needing updating. Would be nice to be able to do it sing my ipad whenever I have a few minutes

ycardozo
I'm with the 'prefer old version' group. I use the new one to batch location, the fact that the images are photos, haven't been digitally altered and so forth. BUT...batching captions and keywords is impossible if you've already done them in Photoshop, Lightroom or whatever. Say you have three different angles of the same food display. The captions and key words would be the same for all three. Say you realize you want to add a word or fix a mis-spelled word. But you can't in the new version because if you bring up all three, the caption and keyword panels are grayed out. In the old version, you can see all three and easily go from one to the next...or fix the lst and then copy this to the other two. That doesn't work in the new version. Plus, the thumbnails are squished beyond recognition, meaning you need to have Photoshop or Lightroom open. Sheesh.
Alamy
In the old version, you can see all three and easily go from one to the next...or fix the lst and then copy this to the other two. You can do this in the new version, just double click on the image you want to edit. Alamy
ann
Am I correct that Alamy plans to eventually make it possible to edit image info, such as keywords, without needing Adobe Flash installed? Being able to use iPad to edit image info would be be very useful.

spacecadet
Here's hoping the Flash version will still be available as it suits me.

Barking
The non flash is well overdue. So frustrating not being able to manage from different platforms
Guppyimages
I like the Manage Images tool, but I agree it would be good to have non-flash version. I also don't understand why you can only choose a max of 96 images and you can't change the thumbnail size, so I have 75% wasted space on my screen. Would be good to be able to display more images and to be able to have them larger. Something like the flikr interface, where you can just scroll down and the images are much larger
sooth
Does anybody know when a new non-flash based captioning interface will roll out? I have limited internet access at the moment, and must edit using a mobile, Android phone. I can access my alamy profile, stats, and other info, but captioning, sadly not.
