Stunning sky while camping in the Outback. They are altocumulus stratiformus undulatus or Wave Clouds. They form when parts of moving air condense at the elevation of the dew point temperature.

Love those clouds Gen!  We sometimes get them here in DC (not as well defined as yours) when we get the right weather conditions coming from west to east, over the Appalachian Mountains.  Probably see them a few times a year.  Your shot is the best example I have seen of them!

Thank you Michael. I had never seen them before and had to ask The Cloud Appreciation Society what they were.

Of course, I also got some tin hats replies. 🤪

A few insects from me, all taken in my garden or within 100metres of home.  Unlike the flowers they may never sell - but I enjoy the challenge of taking them.

Great photos John. It must have been difficult with the Greenbottle flies vibrating during intercourse.

One is Gina/Jorge/Luis that I couldn't upload until I could ask his permission about it.  His daughter's fifth birthday was today and she wants a fish tank.   I have a spare one but not with equipment, but Dad made $120 US this week so maybe.   I even have a good heater for the tank so they could keep something more colorful than the local mollies.

And this was an experiment with a 12 inch beauty dish with a diffuser over the tank.   Convict Cichlids in my 130 gallon (US) tank, raised by the parents and me.

“Torito de Pucará : Ambassador of the Peruvian Highlands” Art Exhibition June 28 – July 23 at Siam Discovery, Siam Paragon Shopping Mall, Bangkok, Thailand, South East Asia. The painted artwork of Peruvian’s iconic ceramic bull has been on a world tour. The artworks originated in the city of Cheka Pupuja in the Azángaro province of the Puno Region, Peru. Each ceramic sculpture is hand crafted in the shape of a bull, adorned with intricate hand-painted patterns and vibrant flowers, each carrying its own  symbolic meaning The figures are seen in Peru as a symbol of protection.

Manchester, UK, 17th July, 2023. A thunderstorm and rainstorm arrives in Manchester on Monday morning. The Met Office has said that mid - July temperatures will see 'unseasonably unsettled weather' as the country expects heavy rain and ferocious thunderstorms in some areas. Credit: Terry Waller/Alamy Live News     I straightened this but made no other changes.

YES I know.  "VIEW" is spelt wrong. I am always mixing the "i" and "e".    Will correct them soon in AIM.

Just noticed Brimham is also wrong on one photo. Will correct that soon as well.
