So discovered a photo credit for myself (and a LOT of other Alamy contributors) in OCR GCSE (9–1) Business, Fourth Edition -via Google Books.

Was published in March so given been three plus months I emailed Alamy to find out about the sale as it hadn't popped up. Gave them date publication, publisher, name of book and that there are many many usages in the book.

Been told without an Alamy id for the image used they can't check and follow up. I find this bizarre as Google Books won't preview full book so can't check that way leaving the only other option (which I pointed out to Alamy) being to buy the book....and I'm sure the fee to me would likely not even cover the cost of the book!

How is it possible they can't check whether there's a sale to a particular publisher for many multiples of images in one go?!

Those interested in whether they have a use. - https://ibb.co/DWfXkHt https://ibb.co/KW4rB0q For screenshots

If new Alamy is still willing to give clients free rein to use images before paying for them (honour system), they must have some way of chasing them up.

They could order the book, identify all the photos credited to Alamy, then send the book back. Serve the publisher right.

It's really not fair that contibuters have to do all the work, when Alamy gets the bulk of the sale money.

I wonder what they paid the writer.

This is a legit use. It will appear. April is barely 3 months.

I'm with MS here- OP has over 2000 images. Alamy can't be expected to check them all for a download.

1. Yes, this is likely,

2. Alamy can and absolutely must be responsible for chasing up payments for files they have allowed to go on trust. If they can't develop a system which allows them to do it, they must stop doing it.
