September 2021 Challenge: Agriculture.

Sticking with the grape theme:

Grape harvesting in Mittelberg is a family affair. The grape harvesting machine is huge, comparable to a combine harvester! Most grapes are still picked by hand locally, but sometimes a machine is used for expediency.

The Danube in the Wachau, Lower Austria, is dotted with picturesque towns and villages along its length. Here you can see the colourful autumn patchworks of vineyards for winemaking, which is the principal agricultural activity in the region.

For the history buffs, the ruin of Dürnstein castle on the hilltop is where Richard the Lionheart was captured and held for ransom by the Austrians on his return from the Crusades.

Can my supermarket snaps challenge these rural garden fanatics? And what about the dairy nuts and their strange bovine relationships? Hmm. I feel like Novak trying to return that tall Russian's serve.

I think I need a month off.
