  4. How do I download it? UPDATE: OK I just figured out how to download the high-res image. It looks over-processed and plastic to my inexpert eyes, but not really soft and lacking. Still not sure that it deserved a fail. However, there's a reason I'm not a QC inspector. 🙃
  5. After I loaded the full res 15mb image there is a small + zoom button on web site's screen - but it only gave me 1 click zoom-in - guessing maybe 5-10% max - but enough that the splintered wood does look better. Using a ViewSonic 1080 HD RGB display.

  7. Worldwide Standard low $$ Historic Botanical Cottage in the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh seen through a famous hedge. First time for this 2016 image. wim
  8. Not on Alamy but I have a few such images on microstock sites. They are not on Alamy because are between 6-8 Mp and were made during the years when Alamy did not accept such sizes. But for now they made so many sales at microstocks that each gave me several hundred $$, I do not mind that they are not on Alamy 🙂 On Alamy my repeat sellers are just a few bats, particularly hammerhead which I was capturing in DRC many years ago. Not much competition for such niche demand.
  9. Just curious, do you have an image(s) that sells over & over? I’m not asking you to post it, unless it’s not easily duplicated. i’ve had several that’s sold 4-7 times, but have a hot one now (that I won’t post) that has sold 17 times in the past 12 months. Here’s one that has sold multiple over years.
  10. Only one here. A hotel in Edinburgh. Straight into the Sales History. Did they pay by credit card? wim
  11. On my Retina display the IBB website refuses to enlarge (zoom into) the image beyond 100% (1 screen pixel / image pixel) , so I had to download and open in PS and view at 200% to make a fair inspection. What display are you using? Mark
  12. I'm curious, IMO this image is more than an "iffy" failure... Have you downloaded the actual 4,500 x 3,000 pixel image and inspected at 100%? (200% on a Retina display) Mark
  13. Sadly, this is just the way stock photography is. The only way not to be hurt by these fees is not to participate.
  14. This one $ shows up today in Sales History but not in Reports. The one in an above post of the swimming pool sign is in Reports but not Sales History. Gremlins? Or just more (sigh) screwups?

  16. It’s about time they started paying off for you. Especially considering the time & effort you’ve put in.
  17. I had 4 of them today for the same image…$4.13 each, reflecting my much smaller-than-yours portfolio. Did you have multiples of the same image?
  18. It's kinda too bad that QC doesn't include a comment on why an image like this has failed. Even a few words would be very helpful. I've always felt that "soft and lacking definition" is too vague. Just sayin'... ☺️ P.S. Have you emailed Alamy, Brian? I've done that in the past about iffy (IMO) failures and have gotten explanations.
  19. TODAY IS A BIG DAY... 😱 for $4.13 gross licenses (15) so far...
