Cryptoprocta
Thanks, Lynne (previous page). I haven't used tineye since Google reverse image search started. I must remember to use it in future when I get stuck. I still can't decide if I'm a very odd keyworder or if 'other people' are missing a trick. Bryan
Thanks, Lynne (previous page). I haven't used tineye since Google reverse image search started. I must remember to use it in future when I get stuck. I still can't decide if I'm a very odd keyworder or if 'other people' are missing a trick. I find that Tineye hits the nail upon the head more frequently than Google RIS when looking for Alamy images. Typically Tineye will find the actual image, whereas Google often finds a generic series of Alamy shots (sometimes) including the one that you want! However when I look for usage of my own images, Google tends to be more successful at finding them. I presume that you have set up Google and Tineye to work from a right click of the mouse, rather than have to copy and paste? On occasion Google will find an alternative usage of an image which includes a credit to the TOG, very useful. Another useful gadget is Microsoft's Snipping Tool, which allows you to lift an image from a larger scene and then paste it into Tineye or Google. Some of the Newspaper web sites (e.g. One version of The Times online) don't allow you to pick out a photo, but the Snipping Tool does the trick. Re keywords, it sometimes amazes me what some people use (or more to the point don't use), but we are talking about photos having sold here so they must be doing something right! spacecadet
Well, Tineye rarely finds any of mine whereas GIS usually does. Interesting.
