Russell Watkins
Time to vote folks. I've shortlisted on the basis of me not knowing why I like an image too. So you have to vote the same way. Or something. Anyhow, you have until midnight on Friday 6th March to vote. The shortlist is: Martin's cricket net . . . . Reimar's blurred gull . . . . Phil C's abstract architecture . . . . Lynn's toadfish skeleton . . . . Steve's barb wire fence . . . . Phil R's London . . . . Jorge's Luxor . . . . Maria's cat (or maybe Schrödinger's seeing as it's half there, half not) . ann
I like two finalists for unknown reasons, and I like them equally. So, until I cast my vote, perhaps neither AND both of those finalists have my vote, or perhaps not.

So, until I cast my vote, perhaps neither AND both of those finalists have my vote, or perhaps not. Yeah, I like your new pic and hair too, Ann. The hair says action! Since I've been cutting my own hair I look as if I've been gang raped in prison . . . hence the cap.

Russell Watkins
The uncertainty principle is strong in this one. Neck-and-neck between the blurred gull and the demi-cat. I haven't voted yet and if by the close of play tomorrow it's still a tie, I'll use my vote as a tie-braker.
Lynn Palmer
Russell, thank you for such a quirky topic this month and for short listing my toadfish. I feel like a winner just for making the list!
ann
I was going to make a comment but think I am out of my depth Kumar What an elegant way, Kumar, to make a comment about not making a comment about how you are or aren't out of your depth. And I see the two images I was so torn between are now tied with each other - so each is both winning and not winning - at the moment. - Ann
Russell Watkins
Aaaaaand.... ...the uncertainty is over. Maria's quantum cat pipped Reimar's blurred gull at the last. Congratulations to Maria and thanks to all who took part. Some great images again for us all to look at. So it's over to Maria to choose a topic for March's challenge. If Maria really exists, that is...
