After two days of torrential rain, we got lucky with a beautiful sunny day.

 

A lovely part of the Italian peninsula. Clooney and Rooney agree on that. 

 

Let's remember that Italy did not become one nation until 1861. Languages and traditions vary in various part of that newish nation. When immigrants arrived in NYC around 1900, they spoke what grandma spoke. Up in the Lakes, that was Dante Italian.

Yes, and New York is like that. I did go to the dog parade one year. Lots of fun. Also one in Washington Square in October for the dachshunds. Some of them wearing buns and mustard.

2Y9WT35 is a really sweet B&W.  Out of curiosity, was that image done with a B & W DSLR or a conversion from a RGB image?

That was the wrong post to link to Chuck, 2Y9WT35 was an image from Alan Beastall, taken with his Leica Q fixed lens camera, so a conversion from colour.
