once again you have misconstrued simple example to be a demand;
but to answer...
a. do not take anything you don't want to take, don't like to take
b. do not take if you can't capture a non-generic photo more likely to license
c. do take if you can capture a non-generic photo more likely to license
d. do take because yearly UCO of %walking dog or dogs% numbers in the dozens
e. do take if you've previously licensed images of real dogs doing real things

oh how ye misconstrue an example for commands...
if fact look at all my puppy encounters that I chose to capture,
including some that licensed, at least one multiple times:

true, about half of these returns are really puppies, but...
& Ian my fine friend, you have unintentionally alerted me to one or more of these
images having been made in Kendall, a Miami neighborhood, & I have added Miami
to (418) of my Kendall images, dogs & the rest !!  Alas, these were keyworded early days...

Jeff, I don't doubt your good intentions but am not sure that I have any clue what this thread is now about.

I don't have any problems identifying subjects to photograph.

EDIT) My key challenge is being efficient with time spent on processing and key-wording.

THIS THREAD IS ABOUT HOW LICENSES ARE STILL VERY POSSIBLE
WHEN ONE'S PHOTOS OF (EXAMPLE: PUPPY PUPPIES) ARE BURIED
IN BACK HALF OF ONE OR TWO WORD SEARCHES
BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT BE BURIED & COULD SHOW ON
PAGE 1 OR 2 OF MULTI WORD SEARCHES IN WHICH YOUR
PUPPY IMAGES INCLUDE TAGS W X Y Z WHEN
"PUPPY W X Y" OR "PUPPY W X Y Z" IS SEARCHED...
beyond this I cannot help... Betty, I tried, I really did...

I am certain that if I had a picture of a puppy I would include it in the caption and keywords along with details about the person, location, dog breed.

That is simply normal, routine practice - and I assume it would be for all of us.

I notice your puppies are with people. I bet that helps their success.

Amazing what animals can teach humans to do. 🙂

That's right. In my neighbourhood, there are almost as many pooches as people, and it strikes me that most of the dogs walk their humans (at all hours of the day and night) rather than the other way round. 🐕

That was certainly true when we dog sat this crazy cattle dog. He used to pull so much that I was coming back with blisters. Even a Jack Russell was pulling like crazy. Dogs rule!

If dogs ruled the world, it might be a much friendlier place. 😄

I have to say that this thread has been the most entertaining on this forum for some while. Why did you abandon us for so long, Jeff?

And I think I agree with your basic argument, although I don't have empirical evidence to support it.
