Hey Phil, I had to go back and look it up, I could not remember at all.  So the question was about the birthrate in the U.S.A.  So I guess the Gummy Bears represented human babies!  The funny thing is that the contributor did not have in his keywords anything about babies, children or the like....so I guess the The New York Times had the idea of Gummy Bears and to then search for them.
