0 wiskerke
The box should have a label like the image on this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bintje It could well be this variety btw. Google Images. wim
0 Betty LaRue
We always just call them Irish or Idaho. But what do I know! 😄
0 John Mitchell
I'd probably just call them white potatoes even though they don't look very white. "All purpose" sounds good as well. But then there's "russet" too. Guess I had better stick with flowers. 😮 Edited August 12, 2020 by John Mitchell

0 AM Chang
It is similar to potatoes (Solanum tuberosum) seen in South America. According to Wikipedia there are about 5,000 potato varieties worldwide. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Solanum_tuberosum_02.jpg Edited August 12, 2020 by AM Chang link added
0 Ed Rooney
Thank you, Potato Heads. They were at the street market stand. They are large and look serious. I bought berries at that stand and they were all fresh and tasty. No more fruit from M&S. 5,000 varieties!

Commercial potatoes here are generally lightly yellow fleshed or white fleshed. Some potatoes are more mealy than others, used for baking and for mashed potatoes. This shows more, but probably ask the guys who run the stand. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Potato_varieties
