  1. +1 for the Atlas Obscura. (They have used some of mine in the past via Alamy.) Google googie architecture. Covering that would keep you busy for weeks. Googie in LA. Not architecture, but make sure you go to Overton through the Valley of Fire State Park. The current situation around Lake Mead could keep you occupied for days as well. In Sedona the Chapel of the Holy Cross obviously. Large structures: the dams: Hoover; Glen Canyon with their bridges. The interstates are the same everywhere, so I'm guessing you will try to take the back roads as much as possible. wim
  2. For one, you cannot do that with a phone. Maybe that's why it went out of fashion a bit. But with subjects like this, it gives it that bit extra. wim
  3. 🔴 I know I made some very poor decisions recently... 😁 wim
  4. Haha! Time to formulate the Three Laws of AI. (Here's the Three Laws of Robotics as the model.) Maybe ask ChatGPT to do it. 😁 wim
  5. Amsterdam canal side al fresco dining. One of the few shots from my dinghy that made the cut. Worldwide Magazines and books mid $$ wim
  6. Haha! Not here in Holland and neighboring countries. Besides they were first (1968). Earth, Wind & Fire came later in 1969. Vintage Dutch progrock this band. However their singles like this one were poppy enough for a huge success. Remember these were the years that another Dutch group with a similar line up, Shocking Blue had a worldwide number one hit with Venus. Lots more Earth & Fire on Youtube. This was their first hit single. And no she could not hold her tone well. This morning payment has arrived on our shores btw. wim
  7. The guy talking in this video about Winogrand is Leo Rubinfien, who has regrettably a much smaller body of work, but is a great photographer in his own right. Otoh maybe he has a large body of work, just hasn't published it. His 1992 book Map of the East is one of my favorites. Here is a video where he talks about his other book Wounded Cities and showing stuff that's impossible to photograph. (In this book you get a glimpse of why his body of work may not be the size of Winogrand's.) See how cheap Map of the East is. I like the cover of the paperback version more than the hardcover. That deer! I now know that there are places where deer behave like stray dogs, but still. (There's yet another version for the Japanese hard cover.) wim
  8. Great shot. Mine is a bit more mundane, at 0.1 chance of awesome on that aesthetics site. Educational book. Editorial print + digital use. Up to DPS inside. Mid $$ as well. wim
  9. And [LU] next to the keyword in your Pseudonym Summary. wim
  10. Yes even a simple this has been asked and answered so many times before please go to the FAQ for this. The question about the keywords is not in it btw. wim
  11. Brasilnut here. I thought I had mentioned it as well somewhere, but cannot find it. It may have been a different one. wim
  12. 0.0% chance that this image is awesome. This one perhaps: https://aesthetics.everypixel.com/ wim
  13. Zooms from a lightbox are not being recorded afaik. wim
  14. Using three browsers seem to exclude a problem at your side like with cookies. However if you have no problems using Safari on different machines, it doesn't totally exclude it. Still highly likely it's not you. Maybe time to contact the Tech desk. Clients often don't report stuff like this. They just go elsewhere. wim
  15. Website blocked due to compromised. (Malwarebytes) Compromised sites (or servers) are otherwise legitimate sites that are being used by hackers without the owner's knowledge. Compromised sites are often used to house and spread malware. wim
  16. That's from Microsoft Edge. The cause is on Alamy's side though. Usually some plugins playing ping-pong. Try another browser, just to be sure, and maybe alert the Tech desk. No problems here using Edge, Chrome or Firefox. wim
  17. Interior of the Pink Mosque in Kuala Lumpur Putrajaya. Satellite dishes of the Very Large Array near Socorro NM. Cherry blossom trees in full peak bloom overhead in DC. wim
  18. Could it be keywords? Or just the subjects? Study the searches in which your images come up and assess the competition. Also check if there is any interest at all in your subjects. Even with some great images, if there are no takers, you're screwed. You do know how to use AoA or All of Alamy in full? (Many instructions on this forum.) No searches for Loi Yang mine for a whole year. Only a handful for open pit. Yours are not included in the 1,225 results btw. Why s that? Missing keywords? Blocking sales in Europe? The caption of 2GY4421 says: A huge dredger extracts coal from the open cut mine at Yallourn power station in the Latrobe Valley Victoria, Australia. There's no dredger in the image. So have a good look at your captions and keywords and be aware of the differences between UK and US (or global) English. And check out on AoA what clients are looking for when they are searching your locations or your subjects. And which keywords they are using. And then who knows, if you are selling your images at Adobe, you've found your market is there and not here. wim
  19. A shame we've lost the laughing emoji. 😂 I can't even remember what it looked like. 😂 (=laughing boomer emoji-also cancelled) wim
