  2. First, I am so glad that Alamy does not allow any AI images. And I love AI. I was watching a video on YouTube of a guy telling people how to sell AI "Photos" on stock sites. Why waste your time with a camera when you can just ask an ai generator to cough one up. I was shocked at the sites that allow it. Especially AS. You can even mark it as a photo but are supposed to tick the "ai generated" box. Well guess what,? Tons of images on AS that are obviously AI but not marked as such. Can't these sites tell it is ai due to the fact that there would not be any metadate with the image? Or do they just not care? He even told his viewers not to worry about imperfections. He did a sample of a Koi and it had way too many fins. Told his viewers not to worry about it, time is money and don't waste time fixing up the images. Boy, we are sure heading down a real super slippery slope.

  4. Yes I just did the nuts images for a catchy title. No doubt there are far more demanding images. The Z7 and Z7II (and the D850) are probably the best cameras for pure image quality Nikon has made. The quality at ISO 64 is out of this world. I almost sold my Z7 last year but the prices I was being offered made me decide to keep it. I'm glad I did.
  5. A more demanding (than the Nuts) sequence of RAW Nikon Z7 test images can be downloaded here https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikon-z7/6 The results from Denoise at ISO 6400 are indeed very impressive, but some details have been lost (e.g. the red cotton reel threads). I chose ISO 1600 as my default upper limit because I could barley detect any visible difference between the Adobe or DXO de-noised ISO 1600 image and the base ISO image, but it's pretty extreme pixel peeping. That Z7 is one heck of an impressive camera, the overall resolution / image clarity is simply stunning, even at ISO 6400 with denoise. Mark
  6. $98 net on 12 sales. Full stock earnings report on here including details on being sued via Alamy for two of my editorial images on here.
  7. If you have done any editing on the enhanced DNG file and don't want to keep it to save space but do want to retain the edits, a simple solution is to synchronise the DNG with the original raw file so the raw will have all the edits preserved in the sidecar xmp file. Then if you ever want to make changes, you edit the raw and run it back through Denoise.
  8. You can rename files very easily in Lightroom or in Bridge back to the original by doing a custom rename and choosing Preserved Filename. No need for additional software. However, if the originals stlll exist and are actuall DNG files, there will probably be a naming conflict.
  9. $596 gross from 23 licences (all direct sales). No $$$ but not too many lower $ licences. Not too bad. 45 zooms (so far given measures is on the blink again) for a CTR of 0.96. Fairly decent month.

  11. See I wouldn't keep DXO DNGs because they are so big. I just keep the original RAWs the sidecar files and finished jpgs When I was using Windows I found this free batch/bulk file renaming utility did everything I needed. It's extremely powerful. https://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/ Mark
  12. A big zero for me. I seem have fallen off the face of the earth as far as sales go. A single very low $$ since mid-November (in March). Views and zooms way down. Very depressing.

  15. I'll start this months thread after finding some time for uploading and keywording. I've spent most of my Alamy time, last month, deleting images, rather than uploading, following the Bild infringement problems, mentioned in another thread on the Forum. Anyway, moving on, I had a small windfall earlier in the year so I used it to buy a mint condition, second hand, Fujinon 80mm Macro lens from MPB. It's a chunky old lens but it is superb. Most of the images below were taken using the new macro lens. 16. 8 sales for $87 gross, $35 net, so below average for me. ~6,000 images on sale: 3,490 views and 32 zooms giving CTR for month of 0.92% which is encouraging. Mark
  17. Spotted one of mine on Twitter reposted from the Mirror, 30th April 2024. No credits that I could see. W52PY5 - Tory council splashed £54,000 on Mayoral chauffeur in same month it declared bankruptcy.
  18. No problem with processing them all, it ensures that if you need to open up the shadows in later processing you won't have noise problems. Applying DXOs excellent lens corrections is good too (better than Adobe's IMO) and these also include basic* CA correction. With my cameras and lenses, if I was taking this approach, I'd change the Lens softness correction setting to Soft to avoid over-sharpening. DXO PureRAW applies basic* CA removal to the batch if the option is selected (*Basic = based on the typical CA exhibited by the lens at the selected setting (zoom and aperture)). But, LR/PS/ACR may do a better job as it applies adaptive CA removal based on the actual amount of CA detected in the each image individually within the batch. Mark
  19. This doesn’t answer your question, but I am deleting all the DNG-enhanced files once I save the jpeg for uploading. That leaves me with my original RAW with the jpeg next to it. Why delete it? I never revisit the image once I develop & submit it. Do you? Saving the DNG just eats up space, & if, I say IF, I should ever want to redevelop one, that’s a good trade off as far as I’m concerned, to start from scratch on a one-off exception.
  20. You can’t hide a good heart, Jeff. Quit trying. I 👀 you.
  21. Think I spotted five of mine in there. Thanks very much.

  23. Rightly or wrongly I run all my new images through DXO Pure RAW2. It doesn't take long and I know that Noise is unlikely to be an issue on any image. Is there a way of running CA removal on batches of images?
